GOOOOOOOOOOLD
In case you’ve been hiding under a rock or voluntarily not consuming any media, SHANTI PEREIRA IS NOW AN ASIAN GAMES GOLD MEDALIST.
There’s a strong temptation to say “we have a gold medal”, but in my opinion this one belongs to Shanti, her coaches and her team. I just…sat at home and stretched my ageing back.
Anyway, we made a visual exploring how fast her gold-winning run was. You heard it here first: Shanti Pereira can outrun a T-Rex.

Visualised: The K-Pop Seven Year Curse
In a move that has left grown men and teen girls crying and throwing up, LISA from Blackpink performed at the famed Crazy Horse Cabaret, leaving people in disbelief that an idol was (god forbid) allowed to do something that they wanted to.
The bigger story is that most observers believe that this signals the beginning of the end for the world-famous quartet’s YG Entertainment contract (Ask someone who’s into K-Pop to tell you what any of those words mean.)
For us, this is little more than another occurrence of the pseudo-pattern known as the Seven Year Curse, where popular K-Pop girl groups disband after they have been promoting for seven years.
This was a pretty fun visualisation to work on—how often do you get to browse allkpop and Soompi for work?
